The Sudanese Embassy in Uganda celebrates the victory of the armed forces and a popular initiative to support Sudan

With a large turnout from the Sudanese community in Kampala, the Popular Initiative to Support Sudan and the Sudanese Embassy in Uganda launched a popular initiative to support the homeland and celebrate the recent great victory achieved by the Sudanese army.

The celebration included patriotic songs and speeches by representatives of the initiative, women, and youth, as well as donations to support the popular initiative.

Meanwhile, Sudan’s Ambassador to Uganda, Ahmed Ibrahim, praised the victories achieved by the Sudanese Armed Forces in Khartoum, Gezira, Sennar, El Fasher, and across several fronts.

During the launch of the Popular Initiative to Support Sudan at the Sudanese Embassy in Uganda, he made it clear that this initiative works to support the issues of Sudanese refugees in Uganda. He praised the idea of ​​the initiative and called for further development of the initiative to support the issues of Sudanese refugees in Uganda.

He noted in this context that the embassy will work to sponsor voluntary return, calling for the integration of official and popular efforts in this regard.

For his part, Uganda’s Ambassador to Sudan, Dr. Rashid Yahya Simudu, began his remarks by extending his greetings to the people of Sudan, President Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and the leadership of the Sudanese government.

He said, “On this great occasion, I would like to express my gratitude, joy, and happiness for the great victory achieved during the holy month of Ramadan with the recapture of Madinat al-Khair, the capital of Sudan.”

He added, “I would like to convey a message of congratulations from the Republic of Uganda on this great victory, which brings me great pleasure to the Ugandan people and government that Sudan has regained its security and stability.”

He added, “I thank His Excellency President Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, the great hero, for his battle to restore the glory of one of the great countries known in history.”

He said, “Congratulations to this great leader, and congratulations to the valiant Sudanese army, which made immeasurable sacrifices, and to the steadfast and patient people of Sudan, who persevered to restore the country’s glory and security.”

He emphasized that President Museveni had previously rejected calling the Sudanese refugees and considered them brothers and sisters.

The popular initiative to support Sudan at the Sudanese embassy, ​​in light of the Sudanese army’s victories, was widely welcomed, as it had a significant impact on the Sudanese people who dream of returning home and reclaiming their land from the terrorist Al-Dagalo militia.
