Uganda Airlines’ Airbus A330-800neo ‘5X-NIL’ Returns to Service

Uganda Airlines has announced the successful return to service of its Airbus A330-800neo, registration 5X-NIL.
The aircraft operated its first revenue flight to Dubai on 17 April 2026, a significant step forward in strengthening capacity across the carrier’s international network. The A330-800neo is recognized for its enhanced fuel efficiency, lower emissions, and superior passenger comfort, making it a key asset in modern long-haul operations.
The airline extended its sincere appreciation to customers, partners, and stakeholders for their continued patience and support throughout the aircraft’s downtime.
“We remain fully committed to delivering safe, reliable, and efficient operations,” the statement added.
With 5X-NIL back in service, the airline plans to deploy the aircraft on high-demand international routes, further optimizing its fleet utilization.
