Airport Show 2026 Opens In Dubai

The 25th edition of Airport Show opened in Dubai on 12 October, as the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region continues to invest in airport capacity, operational technology and passenger infrastructure.
Running until 14 October, the event brings together more than 150 exhibitors from over 30 countries, with organisers expecting more than 7,000 visitors. The programme is designed to connect airport operators and government representatives with suppliers developing technologies for the next generation of airport operations.
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai Airports, this year’s exhibition marks a quarter-century of industry engagement in Dubai. The milestone edition also reflects the city’s position as a meeting point for airport investment, technology development and regional aviation planning.
Technology and Infrastructure in Focus
The exhibition is co-located with the Global Airport Leaders’ Forum, Airport Security Middle East, the Air Traffic Control Forum and the Women in Aviation Middle East Conference. Together, the events broaden the agenda beyond airport construction to include security, air traffic management, workforce development and passenger experience.
Biometrics, digital processing, automation and sustainability are among the technologies highlighted for this year’s edition. For airport operators, the commercial question is how these systems can improve throughput and service reliability while managing costs, security requirements and rising passenger expectations.
The regional context gives those discussions added significance. Airport development programmes across the Gulf are placing greater emphasis on capacity, connectivity and integrated operations. Delivering these ambitions will require more than additional terminals and runways; airports must also coordinate technology, people and processes to make new infrastructure productive.
From Exhibition to Operational Outcomes
Airport Show offers access to airport decision-makers and opportunities to develop partnerships across the MEASA market. For operators, its value will depend on whether the technologies presented can address practical constraints, from passenger queues and baggage handling to airside safety and energy consumption.
As the event marks its 25th edition, the focus is increasingly on translating innovation into measurable operational improvements across the airport ecosystem.
