Airlink Partners with Verteil Technologies to Expand Global Distribution

Airlink, Southern Africa’s leading independent regional airline, has entered into a strategic New Distribution Capability (NDC) partnership with India-based Verteil Technologies, a global leader in next-generation airline distribution solutions. The agreement enables travel sellers worldwide to access Airlink’s rich NDC content through the Verteil Direct Connect platform.
The partnership marks a significant shift from legacy EDIFACT-based systems to a modern, dynamic, and cost-effective NDC-enabled infrastructure. This transition empowers Airlink with greater retailing capabilities, allowing for real-time personalization, enhanced fare transparency, and more efficient servicing.
By tapping into Verteil’s advanced NDC platform, Airlink can deliver a seamless and retail-ready booking experience to its partners. For travel sellers, this translates into reduced distribution costs, simplified workflows, and elimination of the complex input requirements associated with older reservation systems.
“We are thrilled with the global go-live of Airlink’s NDC content on Verteil Direct Connect,” said Jerrin Jos, Founder and CEO of Verteil Technologies. “Airlink is a key player in Africa’s fast-growing aviation market, and this collaboration reflects our commitment to supporting forward-thinking airlines in their NDC transformation. We are excited to help expand Airlink’s global reach while delivering cost and efficiency benefits to travel agents.”
Katherine Whelan, Chief Commercial Officer at Airlink, emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership: “Airlink is at the forefront of NDC innovation in Southern Africa. Our collaboration with Verteil enables us to offer travel sellers worldwide direct access to richer, more relevant content through a secure, scalable, and future-ready platform.”
With Verteil now serving as a key global aggregator for Airlink’s NDC content, the partnership positions both companies to meet the evolving needs of the travel industry—ushering in a more personalized, customer-centric, and digitally optimized distribution landscape.
