Aviation Soccer Gala 2026 Kicks Off Today
The Aviation Soccer Gala 2026 has commenced today at Namulanda Soccer Planet, off Entebbe Road.
Organized by the Uganda Professional Pilots Association (UPPA), the gala will see 14 teams representing various aviation entities compete for the coveted aviation soccer gala champions trophy.
The teams in this year’s edition include defending champions Flight Training Center (FTC), Uganda Air Academy (UAA), Sky Wings, Eagle Air, Uganda Air Traffic Controllers’ Association (UGATCA), East African Civil Aviation Academy (EACAA), JOJAM Aviation Academy, UPDF Air Force, Kampala Executive Academy (KEA), Bar Aviation, Police Airwing, Aero Baddies, and Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA), which has entered two teams (UCAA 1 & UCAA 2).
UMC Victoria Hospital will provide medical services to all participants, including blood pressure checks and emergency medical care services.
The Aviation Soccer Gala is held annually with the main objectives of promoting aviation in the country, fostering networking through sports, and encouraging good health among aviation professionals.
