Air Tanzania Temporarily Suspends Dar es Salaam–Moscow Flights

Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL) has officially announced the temporary suspension of its direct flight services between Dar es Salaam and Moscow, effective September 4, 2026. The affected routes are flights TC422 and TC423.

In an official statement released to the public, the national flag carrier confirmed that the decision was reached following a comprehensive routine risk assessment of the current operating environment along the corridor. The airline emphasizes that these assessments are conducted continuously across its entire global network, and operational pauses are enacted whenever safety indicators advise such action.

“Safety considerations always take precedence over commercial ones,” ATCL stated, underscoring its unwavering commitment to passenger and crew well-being above all operational metrics.

Passenger Rebooking and Refund Options

To accommodate travelers impacted by the sudden suspension, ATCL is offering flexible remediation measures. Affected passengers are entitled to:

• A full refund of their ticket value, or
• Rebooking to an alternative travel date or routing at no additional cost.
