Uganda Airlines has signed a new deal with travel technology provider Amadeus and become the first African carrier to deploy Amadeus SkyWORKS.
The flight schedule development solution provides the flag-carrier with an integrated workbench, featuring powerful editing capabilities, real-time feasibility checking, and all the capabilities required for schedule reporting and distribution. The solution both increases efficiency and provides flexibility to schedule planning.
Shakila Rahim Lamar Ag. Chief Commercial Officer, Uganda Airlines noted that the rollout of SkyWORKS provides Uganda Airlines teams with numerous schedule views to evaluate different business scenarios and offers them a central repository for all schedule‑related information. Shakila further noted that the solution will be a transformative addition to Uganda Airlines’ technology stack, accelerating its growth across East Africa and further afield.
In his remarks, META, Amadeus VP Sales and Account Management Yassine Mellak noted that the partnership with Uganda Airlines continues to evolve, reflecting a shared commitment to innovation and operational excellence. Yassine further reiterated that Uganda Airlines have collaborated on Altéa, revenue and loyalty management, and now they are deepening the relationship with the implementation of Amadeus SkyWORKS.
This advanced solution will provide greater flexibility and control in schedule management, powered by an innovative technology stack for improved usability.
