RwandAir Announces New Routes to Zanzibar and Mombasa

RwandAir is set to enhance regional connectivity and boost East Africa’s tourism appeal with the launch of new flights linking Kigali to Zanzibar and Mombasa, beginning 1 December 2025—just in time for the festive season.

The new service will connect travelers to two of the region’s most beloved coastal destinations, renowned for their white-sand beaches, vibrant marine life, and rich cultural heritage. Operating four times weekly—on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays—the route will be served by the airline’s modern Boeing 737 aircraft, offering passengers comfort and efficiency throughout their journey.

This expansion marks RwandAir’s return to Mombasa, where it last operated in 2019, and introduces Zanzibar as a brand-new destination in its growing network. With these additions, the airline now serves three destinations in Tanzania and two in Kenya, reinforcing its role as a leading connector across East Africa.
