Boeing 787 Dreamliner Fleet Eclipses One Billion Passengers

Boeing has said that its 787 Dreamliner fleet has surpassed one billion passengers faster than any wide-body commercial aircraft in history, accomplishing the feat in less than 14 years since entering service.

The global 787 fleet of more than 1,175 aircraft has flown nearly five million flights covering more than 30 million flight hours.

Boeing 787 programme Vice-President and General Manager Mr. Scott Stocker noted that the milestone would not have been possible without the trust and confidence of Boeing customers in operating the 787.

The 787 Dreamliner family was designed to connect people and places like never before. Flying over one billion passengers in this relatively short time is a testament to how the airplane has delivered on its promises to transform air travel with operational versatility, efficiency and comfort.

The milestone reflects the dedication, talent and innovation of the teammates and partners who have brought the 787 family to life. Stocker concluded in his closing remarks that he was incredibly grateful for each of the clients that have helped Boeing 787 Dreamliner achieve the incredible success.
