Zimbabwe’s FastJet Launches New Harare-Lusaka Route

Fastjet Zimbabwe, the award winning airline has announced the introduction of a scheduled flight service from Zimbabwe’s capital city of Harare to Lusaka, Zambia commencing on Wednesday 9th April 2025.

The new route will operate three (3) times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Fastjet will deploy a 50 seater Embraer ERJ145 aircraft for this service. The aircraft type is known to provide the versatility to build a sustainable regional network with the right size capacity while offering customers comfortable seating with generous legroom.

Fastjet Zimbabwe spokesperson Nunurai Ndawana noted that Zimbabwe and Zambia have a symbiotic relationship that cuts across multiple sectors. He further noted that the introduction of this route attests to Fastjet’s commitment and contribution to further economic and social development of the Zim-Zam region. For ten years, Fastjet Zimbabwe has been a proud part of the Zimbabwean community and the company is delighted to expand that commitment to Lusaka.

Donahue Cortes, Fastjet Zimbabwe business CEO and country head commented that no other airline gives travelers an early morning flight option on this route. The flight timings are designed to provide both business and leisure passengers with a full day’s activities in their city of arrival. Cortes noted that the company continues to focus on developing and growing their business morning flight schedule and the Lusaka early morning departure joins other Fastjet sunrise flights to Bulawayo and Jorhansburg.

Schedule between Harare (HRE) and Lusaka (LUN) is as follows;

HRE-LUN Flight FN8707

  • Departs at 06:00AM and Arrives at 06:55 AM every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

LUN-HRE Flight FN8708

  • Departs at 07:25AM and Arrives at 08:20 AM every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
