Kenya Civil Aviation Authority Hosts the National Aviation Safety Summit 2025 in Nairobi-Kenya

Kenya’s aviation industry regulator, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) is currently hosting the National Aviation Safety Summit 2025 which is scheduled to take place today 10th June 2025 and tomorrow 11th June 2025 in Kenya’s capital city, Nairobi.

The summit which brings together the ICAO Eastern and Southern Africa Regional Office, Airbus Aircraft, Astral Limited, Kenya Airports Authority, and other key aviation stakeholders, is a high-level forum for shaping safety policy, runway risk mitigation, drone regulation, and competency-based training.

The summit was officially opened today by Director Angelah Rugut, representing Principal Secretary for Aviation and Aerospace Development Ms. Teresia Mbaika, with KCCA Directors in attendance, including Ms. Mary Keter, KCCA Director for Air Safety and Security Regulation as well as Mr. George Mogaka KCCA’s Corporate Secretary who is representing KCCA’s Director General.

The summit will conclude wednesday 11th June, 2025 and is expected to shape Kenya’s aviation policy in areas of safety and security, risk management and drone regulations.
