Ethiopian Airlines Unveils Modern Passenger Terminal and Support Facilities in Wollo Kombolcha

Ethiopian Airlines has officially inaugurated its state-of-the-art passenger terminal and support infrastructure at Wollo Kombolcha, further strengthening its domestic network and commitment to regional connectivity.
The grand opening ceremony was graced by H.E. Arega Kebede, President of the Amhara Regional State, along with senior regional government officials and Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Mr. Mesfin Tasew.
The new facilities—part of a project valued at over 12 million Euros—include a modern passenger terminal, VIP terminal, and comprehensive support infrastructure designed to meet global standards. These upgrades are expected to significantly enhance the travel experience for passengers flying to and from Kombolcha and foster greater economic activity in the region.
Speaking at the inauguration, CEO Mr. Mesfin Tasew reaffirmed Ethiopian Airlines’ dedication to expanding and modernizing its infrastructure to meet growing demand and support national development.
The Kombolcha terminal is the latest in a series of strategic investments aimed at boosting accessibility, convenience, and service quality across Ethiopia’s domestic aviation network.
