Kenya Airways Launches KQSafari Data in Partnership with RoamBuddy

Kenya Airways has officially sealed a strategic partnership with RoamBuddy through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Julius Thairu, Chief Customer and Commercial Officer of Kenya Airways, and Mandeep Birdi, CEO of RoamBuddy.

This collaboration marks the launch of KQSafari Data, an innovative solution developed at the Fahari Innovation Hub as part of the airline’s Open Innovation Challenge. The product is designed to provide travelers with seamless, reliable, and cost-effective data connectivity across the globe.

With access to over 2,250 affordable roaming plans in 180 countries, KQSafari Data addresses one of the biggest challenges faced by international travelers—high roaming costs and inconsistent connectivity.

“By tackling this critical pain point, we are enhancing the end-to-end customer journey, building stronger loyalty, and positioning Kenya Airways as Africa’s most customer-centric and innovative airline,” said Thairu.

Through this initiative, Kenya Airways continues to blend innovation with customer care, reinforcing its role as a leading African carrier committed to elevating the travel experience.
