Kenya Airways Eyes Potential Air Service Connection to Mexico

Kenya’s National Carrier, Kenya Airways is planning to expand its operations to Mexico , a move aimed at widening the Kenya Airways’ global network.

The development was revealed today in a meeting  between Kenya Airways Group MD and CEO Mr. Allan Kilavuka and Jorge Rosas, Chargé D’affaires of the Embassy of Mexico in Nairobi.

The discussion highlighted strong cargo prospects and broader opportunities for strengthening connectivity between Kenya and Mexico.

Mr. Kilavuka re-affirmed Kenya Airways’ commitment to exploring these opportunities further and emphasized the importance of opening new routes that support trade, tourism and economic growth for the two countries.

Kilavuka also noted the existence of a Bilateral Air Services Framework between Kenya and Mexico, initiated in 2011, which allows for passengers, cargo and mail operations.

With such a foundation already in place, there’s a great potential of air service connection between the two countries.
