AFRAA 13th Aviation Stakeholders Convention and 2nd African Aviation Safety & Operations Summit Officially Opens in Kigali-Rwanda

The 13th Aviation Stakeholders Convention and 2nd African Aviation Safety & Operations Summit has been officially Opened in Kigali-Rwanda today under the theme ‘Sustainability, Collaborate, Innovate’.
The convention was officially opened by Rwanda’s Prime Minister Edouard Ngirente, who emphasized that Africa’s aviation future depends on how well it embraces innovation, not only in technology but also in financing, regulation and cross-border corporation.
Reacting on the convention theme of Sustainability, Collaborate, Innovate, Ngirente argued that while the continent’s aviation industry is on a recovery path from the COVID-19 pandemic toll, among other challenges, it reflects the path Africa must take, not only in its aviation sector but also in it’s broader economic and development aspirations.
The Convention is being hosted by RwandAir with the support of the Government of Rwanda.
The 2nd African Aviation Safety & Operations Summit staged by AFRAA in partnership with the Flight Safety Foundation focuses on the topic Strengthening Safety Culture for Resilient Aviation in Africa.
The convention and summit will promote collaboration and knowledge exchange by bringing together experts and stakeholders, driving efforts to make aviation safer for all involved.
