Airlink Relocates All Johannesburg–Luanda Flights to New Dr Agostinho Neto International Airport (NBJ)
Effective 01 March 2026, the airline transitions operations from the old 4 de Fevereiro Airport to the state-of-the-art facility east of the capital.

Southern Africa’s premier regional airline, Airlink, has announced the official relocation of its Luanda services to the new Dr Antonio Agostinho Neto International Airport (IATA code: NBJ). The move will take effect from Sunday, 01 March 2026.
The transfer from the current hub, 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, aligns with Angola’s national strategy to consolidate all international and domestic flight operations at the newly commissioned facility, located approximately 45 kilometers east of the city center.
Airlink CEO, de Villiers Englebrecht, highlighted the strategic importance of the move, stating, “As Angola continues to execute its economic diversification and growth strategy, Luanda has solidified its role as a critical gateway for business travel. The new Dr Agostinho Neto International Airport is a world-class facility designed to streamline passenger, baggage, and cargo processing. This transition ensures our travelers enjoy a smooth, efficient, and comfortable experience befitting a modern economic hub.”
Since launching the route in 2021, Airlink has maintained a consistent schedule, currently operating four weekly return flights connecting Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB) with the Angolan capital.
